Taught by Ronn Guidi, guest instructors, and Oakland Ballet Company instructors, this workshop explores the discipline and evolving art of dance. The workshop, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, will be divided into three sessions:

• Morning sessions will focus on the fundamentals of ballet: pointe technique, partnering, phrasing, dramatic interpretation, and (for fun and musicality) improvisation.
• Early afternoon sessions will focus on building classical ballet repertoire.
• Late afternoon sessions will alternate between Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pilates.

Ronn Guidi, founder and Artistic Director of the Oakland Ballet Company, has trained generations of dancers and choreographers. He is committed to helping students find the emotional and creative space in which they can grow as dancers and artists.

Taught by guest instructors and Oakland Ballet Company instructors, this children’s workshop focuses on techniques and fundamentals of ballet and an introduction to hip hop and other forms of dance. The workshop, running from 12 to 4 p.m. daily, will be divided into two sessions:

Early afternoon sessions will focus on technique and fundamentals of ballet.

Late afternoon sessions will include an introduction to hip hop and other forms of dance.
